These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the digital platforms, journals, and services operated by The Brooklyn Research and Publishing Institute (BRPI). Accessing, browsing, or using the BRPI website constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these Terms of Use. The Brooklyn Research and Publishing Institute operates as an international open-access academic publisher dedicated to advancing scholarly communication. These Terms of Use apply to all content, materials, and services available on BRPI’s website, including journal articles, editorial information, submission systems, and related resources.

“BRPI” refers to The Brooklyn Research and Publishing Institute and its authorized representatives.

6. Author and Contributor Responsibilities

Authors submitting manuscripts to BRPI affirm that their work is original, free of plagiarism, and not under consideration elsewhere. Submission of a manuscript constitutes confirmation that all listed authors have agreed to the submission and publication. Authors are responsible for obtaining necessary permissions for any third-party materials, complying with ethical publishing standards, and disclosing potential conflicts of interest. BRPI reserves the right to reject, retract, or correct articles that breach ethical or legal standards.

7. Peer Review and Editorial Independence

All submissions are subject to editorial and peer-review procedures consistent with recognized academic publishing norms. BRPI maintains strict editorial independence; decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection are based solely on academic merit and research integrity. Authors and reviewers are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with professional and ethical standards.

8. Open Access and Licensing

BRPI operates under an open-access publishing model, allowing unrestricted access to published materials. Each article is made available under a specified Creative Commons license, which governs how the content may be used, shared, or adapted. Users are responsible for ensuring compliance with the applicable license before reproducing or redistributing content.

9. Payment, Fees, and Refunds

In some cases, Article Processing Charges (APCs) or related fees may apply to the publication process. All fees are communicated transparently during manuscript submission. Payments are processed through secure third-party gateways. Once a service (such as publication) has been completed, fees are generally non-refundable, except in circumstances explicitly approved by BRPI’s finance department or required by law.

10. Data Protection and Privacy

All personal data collected by BRPI are processed in accordance with the organization’s Privacy Policy, which complies with international data protection standards, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Users are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy for details on data collection, use, and protection.

11. Disclaimers of Warranty

All content provided through BRPI’s platforms is offered “as is” and “as available.” No warranty, express or implied, is provided regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability of the website or its content.
