Publication Fee and Waiver Policy

Publication Fee and Waiver Policy

As noted above, BRPI operates under a Gold Open Access model, ensuring that all published articles are freely accessible to the public without subscription barriers.

Publication Fee

BRPI operates a two-tier publication fee structure to support open access publishing. Authors from high- and middle-income countries are required to pay a publication fee of USD 400 per accepted manuscript. A reduced fee of USD 300 is applied to authors from low-income countries, as well as to eligible PhD scholars and unemployed researchers. The publication fee is charged only after a manuscript has successfully undergone peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

Waiver Conditions

The reduced fee of USD 300 for PhD scholars and unemployed researchers applies only when the manuscript includes no more than two authors, including the eligible author. Manuscripts with more than two authors are subject to the standard fee of USD 400, regardless of the authors’ academic or economic status. Low-income countries are defined as those with a Gross National Income (GNI) per capita below USD 3,000.

All articles published by BRPI are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction provided the original work is properly cited. Authors retain full copyright of their work.

Print copies of BRPI journals are available for purchase at USD 50 per copy. Authors will receive their print copy within six weeks of online publication. Orders can be placed either at the time of paying the publication fee or at any time after the article is published online.

Extended Period for Publication Fee

If the author(s) require additional time to make the publication fee payment, a deadline extension may be granted upon request. However, please note that the payment period cannot be extended beyond four (4) weeks from the date the acceptance notice is issued.
